My name is Marek, and I’ve spent the last 11 years combining two lives - one rooted in corporate stability and another tied to a long-lasting passion for creation. On this journey to keep both alive, I reminded myself that I’ve always been drawn to creating things. I would often find myself drawing, writing, composing, or daydreaming while crossing the street.I started out as a journalist and DJ around age 17 at a university online radio station, eventually hosting my own broadcast after two years of learning the craft. However, after a major life event, I had to seek stability and predictability, which led me to a steady job. My film and journalism studies had to be put on hold while I was struggling to get by.Since then, I’ve been working as a business analyst, climbing the corporate ladder, hitting one ceiling after another. In parallel, I stayed active as an actor, writer, journalist, musician, and podcaster. But after a decade of balancing both worlds, I realized my gratitude for corporate growth couldn't surpass my longing to create.In mid-2025, I bought my first camera and started putting years of reviewing films into action. Sometimes I feel like time was taken from me, that I could have used those corporate years to study film more deeply, but the truth is - this was the best possible path for me.Today, I live in Poland, working part-time as a BA while focusing on filmmaking, editing, and writing about cinema - just like I promised that 13-year-old kid I would.
